NG Apothecary as a business..
NG Apothecary was never meant to be a trend-driven wellness brand. It began as a personal practice rooted in necessity, curiosity, and care; which grew slowly & intentionally into the space it is today.
The work behind NG Apothecary started over fifteen years ago through hands-on herbal practice and lived experience. Plants became a way to understand the body, regulate the nervous system, and create daily support during seasons marked by chronic stress, grief, and emotional healing. What began as personal exploration evolved into deeper study, formulation, and eventually, community-centered education.
Over time, this practice expanded into a decade-long journey as a small business owner, formulating herbal products, creating custom blends, and offering consultations rooted in both traditional herbal frameworks and modern scientific understanding. NG Apothecary grew not through shortcuts, but through consistency, study, and relationship with plants and people.
At its core, NG Apothecary exists at the intersection of ancestral knowledge and contemporary science. Traditional herbal systems that emphasize energetics, balance, and observation are honored alongside an evidence-informed understanding of plant chemistry, physiology, and human biology. This dual approach allows the work to remain grounded, thoughtful, and transparent.

Today, NG Apothecary continues to evolve while staying rooted in the same values that shaped its beginning: curiosity, respect for plants, scientific literacy, and a commitment to care that feels grounded and real. The journey is ongoing; shaped by learning, listening, and honoring both tradition and progress.
Once a Church ..
The Church of Herbalism is a community space deeply rooted in history and intention. The building was originally a newspaper workshop, later becoming a Baptist church that served as a spiritual home for many. Out of respect for its past as a house of God, the space was never overtaken by individual branding and instead came to be known as the Church of Herbalism.
Today, the space has gently evolved into a gathering place for community events, workshops, art shows, pop-ups, shared meals, and moments of collective care. It exists as a bridge between history and the present; honoring what once was while making room for connection, creativity, learning, and healing. Above all, it remains a space held with reverence, meant to bring people together in meaningful and intentional ways.
