Nayeli-Milemny Gutierrez

HHP, B.S. Human Biology, Herbalist, Doula, Educator

NG Apothecary was created by Nayeli, a holistic health practitioner, clinical herbalist, educator, and longtime small business owner whose work is rooted in both lived experience and scientific study.

Her relationship with plants began over fifteen years ago, not as a career path, but as a necessity. During seasons shaped by chronic anxiety, grief, and trauma, herbalism became a way to understand her own body, regulate the nervous system, and build daily practices that offered steadiness when conventional solutions felt incomplete. Plants became teachers, not fixes, but companions in learning how the body responds to stress, nourishment, rest, and care.

What started as personal practice gradually deepened into formal study, hands-on formulation, and community-based work.

Over time, this path evolved into NG Apothecary — now more than a decade into its life as a small business rooted in integrity, education, and relationship.

Nayeli’s work lives at the intersection of ancestral herbal traditions and modern science. Traditional frameworks that emphasize energetics, balance, and observation inform her approach alongside a strong foundation in human biology, physiology, and plant chemistry. As a Human Biology major with ongoing academic training, her practice is grounded in critical thinking, evidence-informed education, and respect for both tradition and research.

Life Experience

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, her work centers on helping people understand their bodies, how stress, nourishment, movement, and environment interact over time. Consultations, classes, and offerings are approached as collaborative, educational spaces where clients are supported in making informed, empowered choices.

Womb-centered care has also been a defining part of this journey.

Through experience as a doula and holistic health practitioner, Nayeli has supported individuals through pregnancy, postpartum transitions, and other significant life thresholds. This work has shaped a deep respect for bodily autonomy, consent-centered care, and the emotional and physical complexity of reproductive experiences.

NG Apothecary reflects these values in every offering — from small-batch herbal creations to private education, consultations, and hosted experiences. Growth has been intentional and human-scaled, prioritizing quality, transparency, and sustainability over expansion for its own sake.

At its core, this work is about relationship:
relationship with plants, with the body, with knowledge, and with time.

NG Apothecary continues to evolve, guided by the same principles that shaped its beginning; curiosity, care, scientific literacy, and a commitment to wellness that feels grounded, ethical, and real.
